Torch Juggling: He Never Stood a Chance

HER: Blizzard's reputation to Luxuran: dislike (raised from hated). Thanks for last post's comment Mister K.

The Midsummer Fire Festival is the first festival Luxuren and I participated in. Last year it didn't require level 80s so it was a nice way to get the last few levels (we were around level 70 then). I found it fun to try daily in hopes of getting the Scorchling.

This year, we were finishing the last of other two "main" pairs and needed the Torch Juggler achievement. We spread about half a screen apart and tried to throw the Juggling Torches to each other. We weren't going fast enough so we decided to do it individually instead. He wanted to go first so I threw him my torches and watched him struggle. I need to go faster, he commented, since he only threw about twenty in the 15 seconds. He clicked faster to get it and then it was my turn. After a bit more than one try, (since we didn't stop after 40 torches, we just kept going until we met the achievement), I got it. Next, we threw them to each other for fun and came up with a challenge. We divvied up the torches (sixteen-seventeen each) and on a count of three, we started throwing them to each other, with the goal of getting rid of them. At first I was stuck at ten torches and couldn't seem to get rid of them, so I pushed myself even more and watched as the amount I had crept to 3, 2, 1. And then 0! Victory goes to me. :>.

HIM: Today Luxuran and I had a juggling contest. I knew she would be a tough one to beat as no one has ever beaten her on button smashing games yet. But I thought I had the advantage here, seriously thinking I had a good chance at beating her, especially since she was doing so poorly on the first round. Thus, I challenged her to a second round, even betting my manly pride on it. But boy is she deceptive, playing me for the fool I am. She left me to bite the dust that she whipping up with her button smashing skills. I was never more humiliated in front of so many WoW players watching in the audience. /cry

  1. Just glad your still having fun, sounds like a good game I'll have to see if I can get some guildies to play that one.
