Once Upon an Oculus
HER: This post is dedicated to Mister K. Thanks for the comment. We don't play too much, hence we don't write too much. If we had started this blog earlier in our level 80 career, we might have had more posts. :>. (*Whispers.* There is one draft... waiting on Luxe. -.-. God, I have too much patience with him. ;P.)
So it's been a while... Yesterday started the Midsummer Fire Festival, ugh. (Luckily it's only two characters instead of all three of our "main" characters. We each have three level 80s, that we consider mains.) So today we logged to try Lord Ahune on all our mains. Uneventful, though it is kind of cool (no pun intended) that we also received two Emblems of Frost from him. So yay to two weeks of uneventfulness...
HIM: I find it kind of cool the new system Blizzard has implemented into the Dungeon Finder for the festival bosses, which makes it a lot easier and faster to find people to kill the festival bosses.
HER: From there, we considered one daily heroic. (Dailies, and weekly to an extent, are really what has killed my enjoyment of WoW: how they feel like chores that I must do, else I miss out on a day I could have earned Frost Emblems. And tch to one of my boyfriend's main, who was being considered for a guild, since now he doesn't need them any more. <.<.)
HIM: Baby!
HER: Well, it's not fair. XO.
But trudging ahead, we decided to "collect" our two daily Frost Emblems and queued up... for The Oculus. Meh. Once upon a time, it was my dreaded daily too. It was extremely confusing (I don't do well with 3D/non-linear maps... o.o.) and it seemed we were required to be sacrificed at least once before a successful kill of Ley-Guardian Eregos. Theses days, I am much better with the map. (I still get confused sometimes... Does that make me bad with directions. ^^'.) And the players know tactics better so it's a much easier kill. (Until you try for achievements that is; people still don't understand how to use the Bronze Drake. =.=). Your turn my sidekick. :D.
HIM: Today in Oculus I was doing the daily HC on my priest for the first time in a long time. Oddly enough my discipline priest had no trouble at all healing regardless that it's been many weeks since I have played on him. Like usual we were breezing through Oculus, and yeah Oculus has become extremely easy as nowadays everyone is familiar with the dungeon and overgeared for it. Just before the final boss Ley-Guardian Eregos, I asked if anyone wanted to do the Amber strat to make it more interesting. As usual our group was the strong silent type. So we did it normally. Now as it appeared no one wanted to take the ruby dragon role, I did it instead. Normally you'd expect the tank to do it but he may not have been familiar with it. We downed the boss smoothly with no trouble. I proceeded to loot the chest first and received my bag first as well. And oh lah lah I found Reins of the Blue Drake in my bag. /cheer
HER: "Oh la la?" When have you ever said that. On a different note, I missed a friend's whisper while zoned out here posting. >.<.
HIM: I've used it often... you just haven't heard it because... It's all in my head. :P.
HER: *Rolls eyes.*
